Winter Gather Together — S.T.W.iTCH: Transgenerational tissues with Not Just a Collective at Plaatsmaken, Arnhem
Crochet and knitting are centuries-old, often overlooked art forms that nurture community, care, and identity. Stitches, patterns, and materials pass from hand to hand, from generation to generation. The sweaters our grandmothers made not only keep us warm, but also remind us of labor and knowledge that has long been rendered invisible. By translating and combining handcraft traditions with printmaking techniques, we stitch, rearchive, hook and press ourselves into the work of our predominantly female ancestors. Their stories are deeply embedded in every fiber and gestures.
